Ice Update trading strategy: what to farm, hold, and dump

The Ice Update (April 8, 2026) reshuffled the entire value list. Here's a category-by-category playbook for the weeks following the patch.

What the Ice Update added

The Ice Update (April 8, 2026) introduced the Ice Queen boss, the Luckborn race (Mythic tier: +35% Luck, +20% Sword DMG, +15% Melee DMG, +90% Max HP, +80% DMG), the Frostbane clan (+40% DMG, +47% HP, +10% Sword DMG), Frost Relic materials, the Infinite Tower game mode, and the SS-tier Ice Queen sword. Early scarcity meant Ice-themed items — particularly Frost Relic, Ice Core, Frozen Brand, and Glacier Remnant — were trading well above their long-term equilibrium prices in the first 72 hours.

What to farm: Ice materials and Frost Relics

Frost Relics drop from mobs on Shinjuku Island, Ninja Island, and Lawless Island. If you have the level and loadout to clear these islands efficiently, the first two weeks of the patch offered the highest drop rate before developer tuning. The Ice Queen boss requires 1 Frost Relic + 750K money + 750 gems to summon on Boss Island, and has a pity system at 155 summons for the Frost Empress title. Farming and selling Frost Relics directly was one of the best early-patch income strategies.

What to hold: pre-update ascension materials

Ascension-tier materials that were viable pre-update — Atomic Cores, Hogyoku Fragments, Soul Flames, Azure Hearts, and Evolution Fragments — kept their long-term value without being caught in the update churn. The ascension path (10 tiers from level 2,500 to 13,000) didn't change in the Ice Update. High-ascension accounts (ASC 7–10) remain the scarcest and most valuable trading demographic. Hold these.

What to dump: declining Misc items

Mid-tier Misc items from the pre-Ice meta — specifically Cosmetic Crates, which were already in long-term decline — should be converted. Passive Shards (0.1 per unit) and Clan Rerolls (0.2–0.3 per unit) remain stable commodity items but won't appreciate. If you're holding large stacks, convert them into Boss Keys or scarcer crafting materials before the next major update devalues them further.

Watch: the Luckborn race window

Luckborn was added as the most powerful race in the current patch. As the meta settled, the Race Reroll premium compressed — but the race itself still commands strong demand from players who want the luck and damage stack. With Sea 2 launching April 16 and introducing new races and Bloodlines, the Luckborn premium will continue to compress. If you're holding Luckborn-adjacent items, the window to trade at peak value is narrowing.
